Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel position. This role involves working a schedule of 4x10 hour shifts from 6:15 AM to 5:15 PM, with occasional on-call duties and weekend requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assist in the setup of the operating room for scheduled procedures.
• Verify the accurate and complete preparation of supplies, instruments, equipment, and any special order implants/instruments prior to operations.
• Open and dispense sterile items safely and accurately.
• Assess special needs related to patient history, surgical procedures, positioning, and anticipated lengths of surgeries.
• Conduct sponge, sharp, and instrument counts with the scrub team to ensure safety.
• Accurate charge capture for items used in the Operating Room related to patient-specific charges.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of current operating room experience.
• Experience in both scrub and circulating roles. A skills checklist must be included with your profile.
• Experience with orthopedic and neurosurgical procedures is required.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR is necessary.
• Must have own transportation, as this is a rural area with no public transport available.
• All requested time off must be noted and verified prior to submission, and no more than 5 days of time off will be accepted.
• Must be available to work during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year holidays.

Certifications:

• Current New Hampshire RN License or Compact License.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification.
