Responsibilities
Provide nursing care in the Operating Room for general surgical patients.
Assist with a variety of surgical procedures, including:
General surgery
Urology
GYN
ENT
Vascular
Cystoscopy
Da Vinci robotic procedures
Lap chole, lap colon, lap appendectomy
Hysterectomy
Work with surgeons, surgical technologists, anesthesia, and OR staff.
Scrubbing is NOT required for RNs.
Document using EPIC OP Time.
May float to other surgery teams or SPD if qualified.
Follow sterile technique and OR safety protocols.
Requirements
Active Illinois RN License – Required
BLS (AHA) – Required
2+ years of OR experience – Required
Recent experience with:
General Surgery
Urology
GYN
ENT
EPIC experience – Required
Must be comfortable with call and weekend rotation.
30-minute call response time required.
Hospital-provided scrubs.
