- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,700 - $2,840
- Schedule Notes: Shifts may be scheduled to meet 36-40 hours per week, with call assignments and rotating weekends based on department needs
- Setting: Acute care operating room
- Charting System: EPIC / EPIC OpTime
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 2 years of operating room nursing experience with general surgery, gynecology, urology, and ENT cases
- EPIC experience required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Ability to work 10-hour day shifts with call and weekend rotation
- Comfort working in a high-volume surgical environment
- Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Must be able to pass required screening and comply with onboarding requirements
Operating Room RN Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in the operating room for a variety of surgical cases
- Support procedures including lap chole, lap colon, lap appy, cysto, robotic, hysterectomy, vascular, ENT, and urology cases
- Collaborate with surgeons, surgical technologists, and the OR team to ensure safe, efficient patient care
- Prepare patients and maintain a sterile, organized, and responsive operating room environment
- Assist with call coverage and weekend assignments as scheduled
- Float to other surgery teams or SPD when qualified and needed
- Deliver high-quality care while adapting to a dynamic surgical schedule in a fast-paced acute care setting
