Position: Operating Room (OR) Nurse
Schedule: Rotating shifts, 10-hour shifts, with flexibility required for different shift times: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM, or 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM; minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license (current or conditional), current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 1 year of experience in the specialty, valid drivers license with address matching demographics, and a recent NURSYS verification report showing ACTIVE license. Flu vaccination during the flu season is required. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), preferably Epic, is preferred.
Responsibilities include supporting surgical teams in the operating room, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, assisting with patient care before, during, and after procedures, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Submission Requirements: Up-to-date resume with at least 1 year of relevant experience, two recent supervisor references in the specialty, skills checklist matching the specialty, and drivers license verifying demographics. RTO (Request for Time Off) must be included at the time of submission.
Additional Information: Will accept local candidates within 50 miles; local rate will apply. Shifts involve on-call responsibilities every 5-6 evenings until 7:00 AM and every 6th or 7th weekend. Flexibility and fluidity are required to meet scheduling needs.
