Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Operating Room Supervisor, the Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the health and welfare of patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. This role involves assessing patients and anticipating the needs of the surgical team while ensuring a safe and aseptic environment. The OR RN is a self-motivated professional who serves as a resource and exemplifies the mission and nursing philosophy of healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient health and safety throughout the surgical process.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to provide effective support.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients prior to surgery.
• Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure high-quality care.
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols in the operating room.
• Provide care to patients during the postoperative phase.

Shift Information

• 8 Hour Shifts (rotating call) - Day Shift
• Holiday Coverage Required

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a surgical setting.
• Current nursing license and BLS certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information

Travelers must reside outside a 250-mile radius from the facility to be eligible for this position.
