This is a strong OR/ortho-heavy position. The candidate must have strong Orthopedic OR experience.

HARDSTOP:

• Must have strong Ortho 3s and 4s documented on the skills checklist.
• Ortho experience is not preferred — it is required.
• At least 1 year of required experience; job listing also indicates 2 years of experience.
• Strong circulating experience required.

Call Requirements

Call is a significant part of this assignment.

• 1 night of call per week
• Night call: 11 PM–7 AM
• Weekend call: 3 × 24-hour call shifts during a 6-week schedule
• Weekend call can be Saturday or Sunday
• 20-minute response time required when on call

Floating

Float is required/possible.

Travelers may be required to float between:

• Petaluma
• Healdsburg
• Santa Rosa Memorial

The posting says floating between Santa Rosa and Petaluma is possible but not likely, while the general Providence language states travelers may be expected to float to nearby sister facilities.

Scheduling / RTO

• 5×8-hour shifts
• Variable start times: 7 AM, 9 AM, or 3 PM
• Weekend coverage required
• 1 RTO request allowed
• RTO must be submitted up front
• More than 7 days of RTO can potentially delay the offer
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays:
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day
  • New Year's Eve
  • New Year's Day

Certifications

Required:

• BLS
• ACLS

Submission Requirements

• Compact license must be in hand at submission
• 2 professional references
• References must cover 1 year within the last 3 years
• Charge RN/Lead references are acceptable
• Candidate must disclose any previous employment/assignments with Providence, including:
  • Permanent
  • Travel
  • Registry/per diem
• Can only submit to 1 Providence facility at a time
• Local radius: 50 miles
• Local candidates can be accepted under the applicable local rule
