Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position located in Boston, Massachusetts. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care in a dynamic surgical environment, primarily during evening shifts. The nurse will support a variety of surgical procedures including Gynecology, General, Urology, Robotics, Oncology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastic, and Interventional Pulmonology. Candidates must demonstrate strong orthopedic experience and be willing to work rotating evening shifts.

Job Details:

  • Location: Boston, MA
  • Schedule: Evening rotating shifts with a total of 10 hours per shift; minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications:
    • 1-3 years related work experience in a similar setting.
    • Level 1 trauma experience required.
    • Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience required.
    • Certifications in ORTHO and TOTAL JOINTS, Gynecology, and General Surgery.
    • Public License required.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise.
  • Travel Required: No

  • Additional Information:
    • BILH coversheet required at time of submission.
    • 10-hour evening rotating shifts, with start times at 9 am, 11 am, or 3 pm, and flexibility to start during day shifts at 7 am.
    • Two short calls and two weekend/weeknight calls per schedule. Short call is 2 hours post-shift; weekend calls are from 7 am to 7 pm or 7 pm to 7 am once a month.
    • Night weeknight call from 7 pm to 7 am if working days once per week.
    • Orientation occurs weekly, every Monday barring holidays.
    • Candidates must provide interview availability at submission.
    • Recent employment at the same facility within the last six months is not accepted; candidates must have been separated for at least six months.
    • Parking costs may be up to $43/day.
