Operating Room (OR) Surgical Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Surgical Technician with a strong background in Orthopedics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-3 years of related experience, particularly in total joint procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and organization of surgical instruments and supplies for various procedures.
• Participate in surgical cases, providing support to the surgical team.
• Ensure a sterile environment in the operating room.
• Handle and manage instruments during surgeries with precision and care.
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other team members to provide optimal patient care.

Work Schedule

• Full-time position with evening shifts starting between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
• Orientation schedule includes five days from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
• Participate in on-call rotations and weekend shifts as required.

Qualifications

• MA certification required at the time of submission.
• Strong experience in Orthopedics, particularly in total joint procedures.
• Experience in a teaching hospital is preferred.
• No local travelers accepted; candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the work location.
• Candidates who have previously worked within the last year for the organization are not eligible for this position.

About the Team

The surgical team operates across various specialties including Gynecology, General Surgery, Urology, Robotics, Oncology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastic Surgery, and Interventional Pulmonology.
