Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN OR Scrub RN for a travel nursing job in Spokane, Washington.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Shift: 12 hours, nights

Position Details

  • Position: PCU/Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Schedule

  • Shift: 12-Hour Nights
  • Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of strong Cardiac or PCU experience
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Experience caring for cardiovascular and PCU patients
  • Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms
  • Experience managing epidurals and chest tubes
  • Cardiac drip management experience
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and professional attitude

Required Experience

  • Cardiac Stepdown/PCU
  • Cardiac Telemetry
  • Post-open heart surgery care
  • Arrhythmia management
  • Chest tube management
  • Cardiac rhythm interpretation
  • Cardiac medication drip management

Required Certifications

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS

Key Responsibilities

  • Care for cardiac and vascular patients, including:
    • Myocardial Infarction (MI)
    • Post CABG/TAVR/Fem-Pop Bypass patients
    • Cardiac arrhythmias
    • Pacemaker and ICD patients
    • Post-cardiac catheterization patients
    • Thoracotomy and carotid surgery patients
    • Chest pain and cardiac telemetry patients
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
  • Manage cardiac drips including:
    • Nitroglycerin
    • Heparin
    • Amiodarone
    • Cardizem
    • Dopamine (fixed rate)
    • Dobutamine (fixed rate)
  • Provide high-quality PCU-level nursing care
  • Document care using Epic
