The Nurse will manage a variety of postoperative surgical cases and trauma patients, ensuring quality care aligned with clinical standards.
Job Details
Position Description: Responsible for delivering high-quality care in a 43-bed orthopedic unit, including medical-surgical, postoperative orthopedic, and trauma patients. The unit features private rooms and patient ratios of 1:4-5 during day shifts and 1:5-6 during night shifts.
Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated; BLS certification; 2 years of clinical experience; ability to work nights; successful completion of orientation hours; last four digits of SSN; understanding of OSF policies; and compliance with drug-free campus requirements.
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: The role involves troubleshooting with CPAP and heated high flow devices, utilizing telemetry monitors, and occasionally floating to other medical-surgical floors. Scrubs of any color are acceptable, with professional appearance required. On every shift, a primary charge registered nurse is assigned, with a house supervisor available 24/7.
