Travel Nurse RN - Orthopedics - $2,651 per week in Tallahassee, FL

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Orthopedics – Florida

Start Date: July 29, 2026

Location: Tallahassee, Florida

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (3 shifts per week with weekend commitments), 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM. Flexible scheduling available.

Highlights:

• 18-bed Orthopedics unit specializing in hip, knee, and spine care programs
• Patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6 (1:7 only during surge to support ER)
• Meditech EMR system; equipment includes remote telemonitoring, vital signs monitors, wound vacs, Alaris pumps, and more
• Support staff includes shared unit secretary and 1–1.5 CNAs depending on volume
• Float assignments to other medical units; modified PCU assignments when applicable
• Focus on patient experience: timely call light response, bedside reporting, and hourly rounding

Requirements:

• Active Florida RN license required
• Orthopedic nursing experience required
• BLS certification (AHA-approved)
• Proficiency in IV starts, Foley insertion, dressing changes, and NG tube insertions
• Pewter or white scrubs (uniform requirement)
