Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license or eligibility to obtain a Connecticut RN license prior to start
• At least 1 year of nursing experience required; outpatient nursing or urology experience preferred
• Previous experience with Foley and suprapubic catheter changes and voiding trials
• Experience with Epic documentation required
• Current BLS certification required
• Strong communication, organization, clinical support, and patient education skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in an outpatient urology clinic
• Perform catheter care, including Foley and suprapubic catheter changes
• Support voiding trials and other common ambulatory urology procedures
• Obtain vital signs, complete patient assessments, and document accurately in Epic
• Assist with medication reconciliation, refill requests, and follow-up phone calls
• Educate patients on treatment plans, procedures, and after-visit instructions
• Coordinate care with the clinical team to help ensure efficient patient flow
• Handle specimens, lab follow-up, and telephone triage as needed
