Description
RN - Outpatient
Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
This department includes all functions related to operating room services, including intraoperative patient care. It also may include perfusion services and other operating room support functions. It does not include PACU, anesthesia functions, pre-op holding, and/or central sterile functions.
Requirements
Day Shift. Monday-Friday, 8-hour shift. Start time varies, it can start as early as 0600am and latest is 1100am. this position is for Outpatient Surgery and not for Surgery Department/Intraop or procedure area/operating room. Responsibilities include Pre-op, Pre-Admission Testing, and Post-op or Phase 2 Recovery where outpatient surgery patients are discharged home. We are looking for a nurse with prior Epic Optime experience who can quickly integrate into the role and maintain the expected pace and productivity in a high-volume clinical setting.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
- Acute care facility experience: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
Facility Specific License/Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)?certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
Department Specific License/Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiovascular?Life Support (ACLS)?certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
