Job Summary PACU Nurse Post Anesthesia Care Unit Location TBD This PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) position involves providing specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia. The role requires collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure safe and efficient patient recovery processes in a hospital setting.
Job Details
Position Description: PACU RN responsible for monitoring and caring for patients emerging from anesthesia, ensuring recovery is smooth, and managing post-operative patient care.
Required Qualifications: Active California RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), Epic electronic health records experience, at least 2 years of relevant PACU experience, and ability to work days shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior PACU experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center, and additional experience with respiratory monitoring and post-anesthesia protocols.
Responsibilities: Monitoring patient vital signs, managing airway and ventilatory support, administering medications as ordered, assessing patient recovery status, and providing discharge instructions.
Certifications: Valid and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per shift, requiring a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Submission Requirements: Candidates must submit Nursys verification of California licensure, proof of certifications, and references within the last year.
