Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Bay City, Michigan.
Job Summary :
- Monitor patients’ vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature) and level of consciousness during post-anesthesia recovery.
- Maintain and manage patient airway, ensuring adequate respiratory function and responding promptly to any airway or respiratory issues.
- Administer medications (painkillers, anti-nausea drugs, fluids) to manage post-operative symptoms and keep patients comfortable.
- Assess surgical sites for bleeding or complications, monitor dressings, and perform physical assessments.
- Recognize and respond to adverse reactions to anesthesia or surgery, initiating emergency interventions as needed.
- Accurately document patient information and maintain detailed records.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members regarding patient status and care plans.
- Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years PACU experience (Required)
- Active Michigan RN license at time of submission
- BLS (AHA) certification (Required)
- Facility:
- 415-bed acute care hospital in Bay City, MI, offering a full range of specialty and primary care services.
Med Ninjas Job ID #16479. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
