Job Requirements

  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license with eligibility to practice in Oregon
  • Minimum of 1 year of acute PACU nursing experience preferred
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification required
  • PALS certification required within 6 months of hire for PACU
  • Strong clinical background in perioperative, recovery, and surgical services settings
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with a high daily patient volume

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to patients in the PACU and Prep/Recovery setting
  • Monitor patients during post-anesthesia recovery and support smooth transitions across surgical services
  • Assess patient status, respond to changes in condition, and collaborate with the care team as needed
  • Use Epic to document care accurately and in a timely manner
  • Support patient education, discharge readiness, and recovery planning
  • Assist with a wide range of surgical and procedural recovery needs in a dynamic care environment
  • Maintain a patient-centered approach while upholding safety, quality, and workflow standards
