Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Job Summary:
The PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse position is located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role involves providing post-operative recovery care for patients across all populations, with a focus on pediatric care preferred. The successful candidate will have experience reading and measuring telemetry, working with drips and titrations, and maintaining a valid Iowa (IA) nursing license. The schedule involves rotating shifts with a minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on August 31, 2026.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Active Iowa (IA) license or compact/multistate license, at least 12 months of current PACU/post anesthesia care experience, skills in telemetry reading and measurement, drips and titrations experience, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA), CPR certification required, drivers license required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric care experience, strong telemetry skills, and experience with drips/titrations.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared to work 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed. Orientation dates include 08/31, 09/08, and 09/14. Candidates with recent performance evaluations from within the past 24 months or references from a supervisor or nurse manager are preferred. The position requires adherence to hospital policies, including holiday and call pay policies, with on-call as needed and 16 hours of NBO (Nursing Bonus Opportunity).
