Job Summary:
Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN position is located in a healthcare facility. This role involves caring for patients in post-operative and recovery phases, requiring advanced knowledge of anesthesiology and critical care skills. The position is suitable for experienced critical care nurses or those with hospital-based ER and ICU experience.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Shifts vary between 8, 10, and 12 hours, including Days, Evenings, Nights, and Weekends/Holidays. The role requires a minimum of 40 hours per week. No guarantee of hours or shift preference. On-call shifts 0-3 times per month (8-hour night and 24-hour weekends/holidays).
• Required Qualifications: Valid professional license within the state of practice. A minimum of 2 years of critical care nursing experience (ER & ICU) in a hospital setting or substitute. Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association. A Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) credential from the American Heart Association is recommended and may be required for specific positions.
• Additional Information: Candidate must arrive the Thursday before the start date for employee health appointment on Friday. The start date is 11/09/2026, and the end date is 02/08/2027. Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption documentation will be required prior to contract start. This role involves caring for patients after surgery, assessing incision sites, monitoring body temperature, and tracking indicators of stability or complications. Equipment used includes Meditech, PCA Pumps, Pyxis, Braun IV Pumps, Cryocuff, Sequential Compression Devices (SCDs), Bair Paws Warmers, HP Monitors, and Phillips Monitors.
