Job Summary
Critical Care Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse in an acute care setting. This 16-week assignment involves providing specialized postoperative recovery care for adult, adolescent, and geriatric surgical patients in a Level I Trauma Center, primarily during day shifts. The role emphasizes confidence in critical care procedures and patient management.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, Degree, Location, and Experience Requirements: BLS, ACLS certifications; 2 years of PACU or critical care experience; valid license in the applicable state; minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.
• Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, from 10/12/2026 to 02/01/2027.
• Additional Job Responsibilities: Recovery of adult, adolescent, and geriatric post-surgical patients, including those requiring invasive monitoring, blood product administration, ventilator management, and vasoactive drugs.
• Clinical Skills Required: Epic electronic health record system proficiency, dysrhythmia recognition and management, blood product administration, starting IVs, ICP monitoring, care of ventilated patients, and trauma care experience.
• Other Requirements: Knowledge of high acuity post-anesthesia care, ability to work within a Level I Trauma Center setting, and flexibility to float within scope to PACU or Preoperative units as needed.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must hold active licenses, meet compliance deadlines, and complete required modules prior to start date.
