Registered Nurse Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent PACU experience
  • ICU experience required
  • Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
  • Experience with pre-operative and post-operative care
  • Experience with pre/post procedures such as TEE, cardioversion, cath lab, and EP cases
  • Comfort caring for patients receiving cardiac drips, IV therapies, and telemetry monitoring
  • Experience with groin management and post-procedure recovery
  • Trauma Level 1 experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a team-oriented attitude

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality recovery care for PACU and pre/post-operative patients
  • Monitor patients during Phase 1 recovery, including continuous assessment of airway, hemodynamics, and pain control
  • Support patients recovering from cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, TEE/cardioversion, TAVR, and vascular procedures
  • Manage telemetry, IV infusions, cardiac drips, and post-procedure monitoring
  • Assist with groin checks, neurovascular assessments, and post-procedure recovery protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative team to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Float as needed to support related PACU, IMC, or ICU coverage areas
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow unit procedures within the Epic EMR system
  • Deliver compassionate, efficient care while adapting to a fast-paced and evolving patient care environment
