Job Summary The organization is seeking a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse for a position in a short-term acute care facility. This role involves providing specialized care to patients in the PACU, with the flexibility to float between units and work rotating shifts. The ideal candidate will have experience in Pre-Operative, Post-Anesthesia Care, and Phase II care.
Job Details
Position: PACU RN (Post Anesthesia Care Unit Registered Nurse)
Schedule: Rotating shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid licensure in the state or a valid compact license, 1 year experience in PACU or related units, certifications in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support, and proficiency with electronic charting systems
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center, or Pediatric Trauma Center settings
Responsibilities: Provide high-quality patient care in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit environment, including patient assessments, monitoring, and post-operative recovery support. Capable of floating between units as needed.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and additional PACU or trauma-specific certifications are preferred
Schedule Details: Candidates must work a rotating schedule of 10-hour shifts, with a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week.
Submission Requirements: Candidates must include responses to employment history questions, including prior work at a similar facility, and provide two recent references covering a period of one year during the last three years.
