  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
  • Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts
  • Shifts Per Week: 4
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM - 8:30 PM, with a rotating day off
  • On-Call: 1-2 weekday calls per week and every 4th weekend
  • Patient Focus: Ortho, general, vascular, pulmonary, OB/Gyn, ENT, neuro, GU, GI, and cath lab procedures

Job Requirements

  • Active RN license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
  • Minimum 1 year of PACU experience required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Dysrhythmia exam required
  • Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and airway management skills
  • Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and Phase 1 PACU recovery preferred
  • Ability to provide care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-moving acute care environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive Phase 1 PACU care for post-operative patients in a hospital setting
  • Monitor airway status, oxygen therapy, drips, pain levels, and hemodynamic stability
  • Assess patient condition before, during, and after recovery to support optimal outcomes
  • Deliver individualized patient care with strong attention to safety, comfort, and recovery goals
  • Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Respond quickly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support smooth patient transitions
  • Prepare patients for discharge from recovery or transfer to the appropriate level of care
  • Support a culture of teamwork, accountability, and quality patient care
