Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from a diverse surgical case mix including orthopedics/total joints, neuro, general surgery, GYN, urology, robotic, and cranial procedures
• Monitor and assess patients in the PACU for hemodynamic stability, pain management, and recovery from anesthesia
• Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions in a fast-paced ambulatory OR environment
• Participate in weekend call rotation as required per scheduling guidelines
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe and timely patient throughput

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or compact eligibility
• Minimum 2–3 years of PACU experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Ability to work a mixed shift schedule including 8-hour and 12-hour shifts with shift rotation
• Availability for weekend call shifts (up to 3 per 6-week schedule)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with neuro or cranial surgical cases
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical procedures in a PACU setting
• Experience in a high-volume ambulatory or OR PACU environment
