Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in West Allis, Wisconsin.

$500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Shift start times vary based on requisition with available shifts beginning at 5:00 AM, 6:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, or 12:00 PM
• Schedule is created in 6-week increments and provided approximately 1 month prior to the schedule start date
• No weekend rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Unit is closed on major holidays; open on holiday eves and the day after holidays
• Minimum 3 years of PACU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Perform pre-op and Phase II recovery; no Phase I recovery responsibilities
• Care for mostly adult patients with few pediatric patients
• Patient types include pre/post-op surgical patients across ortho, urology, hysterectomy, IR, imaging, and tubal ligation procedures
• Patient ratios: 1:2-3 for pre-op and 1:4 for Phase II recovery
• Skills required include pre-op and Phase II experience, IV starts, and assisting with blocks; GI pre/post and IR pre/post background preferred
• May float to GI for pre/post only; no intraprocedural floating
• EMR system: EPIC
• IV pumps: Alaris
• Medication dispensing: Pyxis
• Support staff includes CNAs, HUC, charge nurse, resource nurse, respiratory therapy available 24/7, and hospitalist available 24/7
• Scrub color: any or procedural
• Free parking available in the East parking structure on the 3rd floor or higher

Facility:

This medical center is a 277-bed hospital and serves as a Level IV Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center. The facility operates a Day Surgery Center and provides a wide range of specialty surgical services, offering a well-supported work environment with comprehensive staffing and modern technology to ensure high-quality patient care.
