Travel Nursing Job Details

- Shift Times: Rotating start times of 11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. or 1:00 p.m.–9:30 p.m.
- Weekend and Holiday Requirement: No weekends or holidays scheduled
- On-Call: Not required for the posted schedule

PACU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- At least 1 year of recent experience within the last 5 years in ICU, CVICU, CVPA, Emergency Room, same-day care, or PACU
- Prior same-day care (SDC) or PACU nursing experience preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Demonstrated proficiency with IV starts, hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator care
- Ability to successfully complete required pharmacology and basic arrhythmia examinations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
PACU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and evaluate their responses to medications and treatment
- Perform comprehensive physical, psychological, and social assessments throughout the patient’s admission
- Develop and update plans of care while communicating pertinent patient information to the appropriate care team members
- Provide safe, effective care for patients requiring hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator support, and other post-operative interventions
- Administer medications safely and monitor for therapeutic effects or adverse reactions
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient documentation
- Educate patients and families and provide discharge planning support
- Guide and support ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards
- Serve as a clinical resource for patient care, staff orientation, and education
- Follow infection prevention, blood and body fluid, safety, and quality-improvement practices
- Provide compassionate service to patients, families, visitors, and coworkers
