PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled PACU Registered Nurse to join our ambulatory surgery unit specializing in peri-anesthesia care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in post-anesthesia care and a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Position Details

• Schedule: 10-hour evening shifts, either 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM or 12:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Patient Capacity: 25 total beds with a daily caseload of up to 35 patients

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality post-anesthesia care to patients undergoing outpatient surgical and procedural cases.
• Collaborate with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient recovery from anesthesia, assessing vital signs and readiness for discharge.
• Educate patients and their families regarding post-operative care and recovery expectations.
• Contribute to a supportive team culture, especially when interacting with students and new hires.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of clinical experience in a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) required.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is mandatory.
• Previous travel nurse experience is not required.
• Must be separated from previous employment for a minimum of 6 months to be considered for the position.
