Job Summary The healthcare organization is seeking a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Specialty nurse in an ambulatory surgery setting. This role involves providing specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia, with a focus on supporting surgical and procedural cases. The position starts at the end of November and runs through late February 2027.
Job Details
Position Description: This role is for an ambulatory surgical setting with a specialty of peri anesthesia, covering 25 beds with a daily caseload of approximately 35 patients.
Required Qualifications: Certified in the applicable nursing certification, with a Nursing diploma or degree. Must have 3-4 years of clinical experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and EPIC electronic health record experience. Location requirement: must be separated from the healthcare provider for 6+ months.
Schedule: Evening shifts from 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. or 12:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., totaling 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Additional Information: Candidates will work with both experienced staff and new hires and should contribute to a supportive team culture, especially when interacting with students or new team members.
