Job Summary: The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing position is located in a healthcare provider setting. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery. The position requires delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort during the critical post-operative period.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications:
1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
License, Certification, Registration: Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
Procedural Sedation Competency
Minimum two (2) years of critical care experience with adult patients, preferably in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) environment
Minimum two (2) years of clinical care experience with pediatric patients, preferably in the Emergency Room (ER), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), or PACU environment
Minimum two (2) years of experience providing Procedural Sedation in Outpatient settings
Minimum two (2) years of experience in Pain Management injection procedures
Additional Information:
Enabling skills-based hiring is indicated, and qualification assessment is required.
