This role involves independently assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care for acutely ill patients under the supervision of nurse leaders and collaborating closely with healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective recovery processes.

Job Details

• Position Description: Under the supervision of a nurse leader (Chief Nursing Officer, Clinical Director, Supervisor, Nurse Leader), this role involves independently prescribing, delegating, and coordinating nursing care for acutely ill patients, adhering to ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, ANA Code of Ethics, and California Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of therapeutic care, ensuring patient safety, and fostering compassionate environments that support healing through authentic presence and holistic care modalities.
• Required Qualifications: Valid and unrestricted State of California Registered Nurse License (RN License), NIHSS certification, and current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, graduation from an accredited registered nursing program with a bachelors or associate degree preferred, and knowledge of medical terminology, nursing techniques, and medical instruments.
• Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, on-call availability, plus weekends and holidays, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Must maintain all health requirements designated by the healthcare provider. Depending on assignment, specific certificates of competency may be required and must be kept current. Knowledge of advanced nursing theory, medical terminology, medical equipment, medication effects, and narcotics is essential; familiarity with team dynamics and emergency response protocols is crucial for effective patient care and safety.
