Job Summary: The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing position is located in an acute care healthcare setting. This role involves providing specialized post-operative recovery care to patients, ensuring safety and stability during the immediate post-surgical period. The position offers daytime shifts, a structured schedule, and a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications:
1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
License, Certification, Registration:
Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
Procedural Sedation Competency
Minimum two (2) years of critical care experience with adult patients, preferably in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit environment
Minimum two (2) years of clinical care experience with Pediatrics, preferably in Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, or Post Anesthesia Care Unit settings
Minimum two (2) years of experience providing Procedural Sedation in Outpatient settings
Minimum two (2) years of experience in Pain Management injection procedures
