Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing in Step Down Units in Tulsa, Oklahoma, will provide specialized patient care within a designated step-down unit environment. This role involves monitoring and managing adult and geriatric patients with complex medical conditions, ensuring clinical excellence and patient safety.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: 1 year of experience in a step-down or similar unit, current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications, Oklahoma or compact nursing license in hand at the time of submittal.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, experience in community hospital settings, and experience with trauma level I or II units.
  • Patient Ratios: 4 patients during days and nights, 4 patients on weekends.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required as needed within the facility.
  • Additional Information:
    • The unit cares for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as respiratory failure, atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular response, sepsis, and other complex conditions.
    • Procedures include cardioversion, groin site management, and use of specialized equipment such as Bi-PAP, wound vacs, and cardiac monitoring devices.
    • The unit offers interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, and radiology.
    • Orientation hours are 12, with modules completed onsite during orientation.
    • The assignment begins on 08/10/2026, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
