Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Gulfport, Mississippi. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a specialized inpatient setting, emphasizing patient safety, education, and collaborative team efforts. The RN will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and safety protocols.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift (CIRH only), ICU experience, at least 2 years of bedside clinical experience, proficiency in patient assessment, discharge planning, and team collaboration
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Progressing Care Unit preferred
• Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, collaborates with interdisciplinary team for patient care planning, documents assessments and interventions accurately, initiates discharge planning from day one, and educates patients and families. Provides direction and supervision to ancillary staff, maintains a safe work environment, and participates in team-building activities to foster a positive work environment.
