Job Summary A Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position is available in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiovascular, post-surgical, and telemetry needs, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac telemetry and related specialties.
Job Details
Certified in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
Education required: Valid State License; a compact license must be in hand at submission.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years working with surgical telemetry, open heart surgery, vascular (groin) radial band management, IV skills, and NIH stroke scale. Optional experience includes VAD and TAVR procedures.
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities include managing cardiac telemetry, chest tubes, breathing treatments, blood and blood product administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, pacer management, LVAD, open heart post-op care, and stroke patient management.
Candidates should be flexible to float to similar units as needed.
Previous charge experience, community hospital experience, and Epic charting system experience are preferred but not required.
Submittals require recent references covering at least one year within the past three years.
Candidates must respond to specific pre-screening questions regarding prior employment at a Providence facility, relevant experience, and references.
Travel assignment begins on 10/19/2026 and ends on 01/18/2027.
