Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Overland Park, Kansas. The role involves providing specialized patient care within a 12-hour shift schedule, with a focus on adults and geriatrics. This position supports a dynamic team environment and requires adaptability across multiple acute care departments.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Kansas or Missouri compact nursing license, BLS, NIHSS certifications, 2 years of clinical experience, experience in electronic charting systems (Epic preferred), and prior community hospital or LTAC experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification, trauma level experience (Level I or II), and experience with MS/Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, and cardiovascular care including sheath removal, feeding tube management, IV therapy, and phlebotomy.
  • Float: Float to other units and facilities as needed; float rotation may be required between departments, units, and facilities, including travel between Kansas and Missouri.
  • Additional Information: The assignment includes holiday shifts and weekend coverage, with a minimum of 8 weekend shifts every six weeks. On-call is not required. RTO requests are limited to 7 days, with final approval needed at submission. Orientation includes 12 hours of training, and completion of compliance documentation is required prior to start date.
