Job Summary:
A registered nurse (RN) specializing in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is sought for a healthcare provider located in the area. The position involves providing high-quality patient care within a monitored setting, ensuring adherence to nursing standards and safety protocols. The RN will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote optimal patient outcomes and facilitate safe discharge planning.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shifts with 12-hour shift hours, requiring a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift (CIRH only), a minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience, and previous experience in a Progressive Care Unit or similar setting
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with patient assessment, care planning, discharge planning, and collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Additional Information: Performs comprehensive nursing assessments within the first 8 hours of patient admission, develops individualized care plans, and participates in multidisciplinary team conferences. Responsible for accurate documentation of patient data, interventions, and responses in compliance with policies. Engages in patient teaching and supports continuity of care through effective communication. Assumes charge nurse responsibilities following orientation and actively pursues professional development opportunities. Demonstrates leadership in promoting a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and encouraging teamwork.
