Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Birmingham, Alabama. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a specialized care setting, with responsibilities including patient assessments, care planning, documentation, and ensuring patient safety. The role requires supervising ancillary staff and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, at least 2 years of bedside clinical experience post-graduation, with experience in Stepdown, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), or Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) settings.

  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The RN will perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, participate in care planning, patient education, discharge planning, and ensure safe and effective nursing practice.
