Job Summary:
This step down unit position is based in a healthcare facility located in Brookfield, Wisconsin. The role involves providing specialized care to patients requiring a level of monitoring and intervention between general medical-surgical and intensive care. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional to deliver quality patient care and support recovery in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:

- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours

- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); experience in telemetry and surgical patient recovery; at least 1 year of Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) experience; familiarity with Electronic Health Record systems such as EPIC; travel experience; may need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with recovery of surgical patients and telemetry units.
- Float: Float rotation may be required, including onsite or to sites within 40 miles.
- Additional Information: This role involves working in a unit that manages patients requiring step-down care, with additional operational responsibilities including coverage during an established EOH (End of Shift) rotation with staff and adherence to facility protocols, including every third weekend scheduling.
