Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurses are needed in a healthcare organization located at a medical facility with a capacity of 34 beds in one unit and 25 beds in another. This role involves providing high-quality patient care on nightshift, with responsibilities including hourly and bi-hourly patient rounding, communication via communication boards, and performing various procedures. The position is suitable for RNs with critical thinking skills, EKG rhythm interpretation, and experience with cardiac, insulin, and heparin drips.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nightshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/21/2026 and ending on 12/21/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); minimum of 3 years of experience in a progressive care environment; experience with EKG rhythm interpretation, cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips; skills in peripheral IV placement; peritoneal dialysis experience preferred; proficiency with bipaps, high flow oxygen, and various oxygen delivery systems; experience with stroke and post-cardiac catheterization care; knowledge of NG/Dobhoff tubes and tube feedings
• Preferred Qualifications: Peritoneal dialysis experience, proficient in wound vac troubleshooting, and familiarity with electronic documentation systems like Meditech
• Additional Information: This unit emphasizes a family-like, team-oriented culture, offering self-scheduling with 4-week rotations. It requires working every other weekend. The team utilizes technicians to support patient care, fostering a collaborative environment. Candidates should possess critical thinking abilities and be adaptable to floating within PCU or to medical-surgical floors.
