Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse in Michigan. This role involves providing leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. The nurse utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families. Effective communication of pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team is essential. The role also includes participating in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensuring the implementation of these solutions.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts for a 12-hour shift schedule, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • 2+ years recent experience as a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown / Telemetry Registered Nurse, with experience in medication drips, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Auto offers approved for a 13-week contract.
  • OT (overtime) billed after 48 hours.
  • Facility cannot accommodate block scheduling requests but will attempt to schedule shifts consecutively; however, same days each week cannot be guaranteed.
