Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse in Michigan. This role involves providing leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. The nurse utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and teaching to patients and their families. Effective communication of pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team is essential. The position requires active participation in identifying solutions for variances from patient goals and ensuring the implementation of those solutions.

• Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
  • At least 2+ years recent experience as a Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Stepdown/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Experience in medication drips
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications in hand

• Skills & Experience:
  • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel
• Education:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Certification & Licensure:
  • Valid licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
  • BLS certification
