- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,770 - $1,860
- Start Date: 10/19/2026
- Patient Ratio: 1:4, with occasional 1:5 assignment at midnight
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required to similar units as needed
- Charting System: Epic experience required
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry RN or cardiac PCU experience
- Previous surgical telemetry experience required
- Experience with open-heart surgery and vascular patients required
- NIHSS certification required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
- Strong IV skills and cardiac monitoring experience
- Experience with radial band management and groin site care preferred
- Ability to safely manage high-acuity telemetry and progressive care patients
- Active compact or Washington state RN license in hand at time of submission
- Travel RN experience required; first-time travelers are not eligible
- Must be flexible with floating and scheduling needs
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to cardiac PCU patients, including MI, arrhythmia, heart failure, and post-cardiac surgery cases
- Monitor telemetry, interpret rhythms, and escalate changes in patient condition appropriately
- Care for post-open-heart, vascular, and post-cath lab patients with attention to sternal precautions and chest tube management
- Administer and monitor blood products, cardiac drips, and vasoactive medications per unit standards
- Support respiratory treatments such as CPAP/BiPAP, trach care, and oxygen therapy
- Perform and assist with procedures including chest tube care, epicardial pacer management, and dysrhythmia interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
- Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced cardiac nursing environment
- Float to similar units as needed to support patient care needs
