Job Summary: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located at an unspecified healthcare facility. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, performing comprehensive nursing assessments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans. The RN will also be responsible for supervising ancillary personnel, participating in discharge planning, and ensuring patient safety and safety protocols are strictly followed.
Job Details:
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification prior to first shift; a minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience; state licensure as a Registered Nurse; location flexibility and a minimum of 0 years of experience.

Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: The RN is expected to perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, participate actively in patient education, and communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care. The role involves providing direct patient care utilizing the nursing process, initiating discharge planning from day one, and contributing positively to the team environment. The RN will also assume charge responsibilities post-orientation, pursue ongoing professional development, and prioritize activities to meet patient needs effectively.
