Job Summary:
The location is a step down unit specializing in cardiac surgery patient care. This position involves providing post-operative nursing support for patients discharged following coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve surgery, heart transplants, lung resections, lobectomies, or double lung transplants. The role also includes caring for patients in the esophagectomy, bronchial valve, electrophysiology (EP) laboratory, catheterization (CATH) lab, or general cardiology settings.

Job Details:

• Position: Step Down Unit Nurse
• Specialty: Step Down Unit Cardiac surgery and post-operative lung surgery patient care.
• Required Qualifications: Valid drivers license or state ID; a minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience in a step down or similar setting; valid professional license or certification as required by state and specialty; successful completion of UHS Skills Checklist and submission of the UHS Prior Employment Form and UHS Submission Packet.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role involves caring for patients recovering from heart and lung surgeries, including post-operative management, monitoring, and patient discharge support. The position requires adherence to clinical protocols and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
