Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Ypsilanti, Michigan. This role involves providing specialized patient care in a unit that supports patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical-surgical units. Candidates with some oncology experience and completion of specific chemotherapy courses are preferred to meet unit-specific requirements.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Michigan license or certification to practice as an RN, at least 1 year of nursing experience, current CPR certification, successful completion of the ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course for administering vesicant chemotherapy, and prior oncology or unit-based oncology experience preferred.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must complete a unit-based oncology course and orientation before administering non-vesicant chemotherapy. Patients actively receiving chemotherapy infusions will not be assigned to a floating contractor unless the candidate has completed the ONS course or is OCN certified.
