Job Description:

The Cardiac Stepdown RN is responsible for monitoring vital signs, administering medications, managing cardiac devices, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal recovery and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Continuously monitor patients' cardiovascular status using telemetry or other devices.
• Assess for signs of cardiac complications and respond appropriately.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Provide post-surgical care and manage post-operative pain.
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop care plans.
• Respond to emergent situations such as arrhythmias and cardiac arrest.
• Follow infection control protocols and ensure patient safety.

Requirements:

• Current license by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Min 3 years RN experience in Med Surg and 1 year of travel experience.
• Experience in cardiac care, critical care, or telemetry nursing.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
