Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit is responsible for delivering safe, quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards. The RN will be expected to work 12-hour night shifts, demonstrating strong critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients requiring advanced monitoring and nursing interventions.
• Manage patients on BiPAP, with chest tubes and PICC lines, and draw their own labs.
• Conduct own codes and call on own consults without a vascular access team.
• Float to various inpatient units including ICU, Med/surge, Med/tele, Acute/tele, and ED.
• Work every other weekend and holiday as required by unit needs.

Requirements:

• 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU or Emergency Department experience.
• Experience with open-heart Day 2 or Day 3 including pacer wires.
• Current KS RN or Compact RN License with BLS, ACLS, & NIH certifications.
• Complete CBC, DS, and lab work within 72 hours of offer acceptance.
