• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Orientation: 72 hours
• Unit Size: 36 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:3 in PCU; 1:4-5 in Med Surg Telemetry

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience
• At least 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
• Current acute care experience with consistent recent practice within the last 12 months
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications
• Experience using Epic charting preferred
• Strong background in high-acuity telemetry, stepdown nursing, or oncology nursing
• Ability to float to equivalent or lower-acuity oncology units as needed
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate care to adult progressive care and telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias, telemetry rhythms, and hemodynamic trends
• Manage cardiac drips, heparin protocols, and other high-acuity therapies within scope
• Provide care for patients with solid tumor, orthopedic oncology, and thoracic oncology diagnoses
• Perform port access, central line care, PICC management, IV starts, and blood product administration
• Support respiratory needs such as HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care
• Use infection prevention best practices and maintain a strong focus on fall prevention
• Respond quickly to patient changes and collaborate with rapid response and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
• Float to comparable oncology or med-surg units based on patient care needs
