Job Details

• Position: Travel Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210
• Start Date: September 8, 2026
• Duration: 16 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 3 shifts per week
• Shift Time: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Orientation: 72 hours
• Schedule Type: Variable based on unit needs
• Float: May float to other MedSurg Oncology units
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Setting: Acute leukemia and hematology PCU

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of total acute care nursing experience
• At least 1 year of recent PCU nursing experience required
• Current acute care experience must be active and consistent within the last 12 months
• Active compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• NIHSS preferred
• ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients with acute leukemia and hematology diagnoses
• Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in rhythm, condition, and overall patient status
• Support infection prevention protocols and fall prevention initiatives
• Administer blood products, IV antibiotics, electrolytes, and related therapies
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IVs, ports, and other vascular access devices
• Perform feeding tube care, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood draws as needed
• Collaborate with rapid response teams and interdisciplinary healthcare services
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic electronic health record system
• Adapt to variable weekend scheduling and changing patient care needs
