Registered Nurse - Med Surg Step Down

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Med Surg Step Down unit. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

The Registered Nurse will work a 36-hour rotating day and night schedule, with three 12-hour shifts. Shift times are as follows:

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Night Shift: 7:15 PM - 7:15 AM

Flexibility for holiday and weekend rotations is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals in the Med Surg Step Down unit.
• Monitor patients and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about self-care techniques and medical conditions.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
• Respond to emergencies and provide critical care as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license as required by state regulations.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• Previous experience in a Med Surg or Step Down unit preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
