Job Summary:
Step Down Unit RN in Bloomington, Illinois. This inpatient acute care position involves caring for patients with a variety of medical conditions, including respiratory, cardiovascular, neuro, and surgical cases. The role requires flexibility to work rotating nights, weekends, and holidays, with comprehensive unit training and orientation.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) will work three 12-hour shifts with rotating nights, weekends, and holiday. The RN would be assigned to a holiday and weekend rotation.
- Required Qualifications: Valid licensure to practice as a registered nurse, ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), and NIHSS certifications. A minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a similar setting is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Extensive ICU experience is beneficial for floating to Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Float: Float rotation may be required; Travel RNs are first to float and may work in ICU if they have the required experience or in general medical floors.
- Additional Information: This is a 32-bed inpatient acute floor with all private rooms. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 3-4 patients per nurse. The charting system used is EPIC. Orientation includes a one-day session with the education team and one day on the floor. Scrubs in any color are acceptable dress code.
